Simon Løffler

Simon Løffler studied composition with Bent Sørensen, Hans Abrahamsen, and Niels Rosing-Schow, and musical theory with Lars Bisgaard at the Danish Royal Academy of Music. He continued his studies with Wolfgang Heiniger at the Hochschule für musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin and with Simon Steen-Andersen at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus. He completed his training at a.pass (advanced performance and scenography studies) in Brussels. Since 2017, he has taught composition at the Danish Royal Academy of Music

His oeuvre vacillates between tremendously intimate systems and enigmatic constructions, using traditional instruments (sometimes transformed in diverse manners)a s well as new organological concepts.
