Roque Rivas

Chilean, Roque Rivas studied electroacoustic composition and computer music at the CNSMD de Lyon before studying with Emmanuel Nunes at the Conservatoire de Paris. From 2006 to 2008, he followed the two years of the Cursus program at IRCAM. In 2011, he participated in the workshop “Opéra en creation” at the Festival in Aix-en-Provence under composer Peter Eötvös. His works have been performed by ensembles and performers such as Ensemble intercontemporain, Asko/Schoenberg Ensemble, London Sinfonietta, Ictus Ensemble, Remix Ensemble, Les Cris de Paris, and have been presented in prestigious festival and museums around the world. In 2015-16, Roque Rivas was an artist-in-residency at the Académie de France à Madrid, Casa de Velázquez.
