Januibe Tejera’s stands out for his work influenced by writing for the theater and oral tradition music, a universe that has accompanied him throughout his career.
Januibe graduated from the Conservatoire de Paris, followed the Cursus program at IRCAM, holds a Bachelor’s degree in musical composition from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. He has taken classes with Gérard Pesson, Luis Naón, Yan Maresz, Flávio Oliveira, Tom Mays, and other composers.
In addition to his activity as a composer, Januibe Tejera teaches composition at the conservatory in Bagnolet and at the University Paris-Est. He was the artistic director of the festival Contemporanea-RS and musical director of a number of instrumental and vocal groups.
