Thierry de Mey
- Composer
This concert is dedicated to the memory of Éric Daubresse. Computer music designer, professor, and composer, he taught computer music to young composers in the Cursus program and accompanied several of them in the realization of the computer-music facet of their works.
This concert presents the final works produced by the composers in the Cursus program on computer music. The professor associated with the program, Thierry De Mey, encouraged a broad range of formats, aesthetic and technological approaches making this eagerly awaited date a veritable wonder cabinet: the use of sign language and machine learning, pantomime, introduction to the viola da gamba, dance, video, concentration on instruments—the bass, the clarinet, or the voice articulated with electronics…
For each adventure, the students—musicians or dancers—from the Conservatoire de Paris offered their assistance to the composers.
